Welcome to wired4historuy.wordpress.com. This blog is intended to help me start recording my thoughts on using technology to engage college-level learners enrolled in my History courses.   I teach at a small midwestern college that places emphasis on  teaching effectiveness over research and publishing.   My courses are a mixture of blended or fully online.   These courses address African-American History, the Civil Rights Movement, the Turbulent Sixties, and African-American Cultural Expressions.   Typically I have a number of highly motivated learners, but their learning styles or academic skills are not the same within any given course.   I have tried to use technology to reach out to younger learners and to leverage the volume of learning resources that are available through the internet.
